We think the next step for UPI is simple: keep everything that works about it, and stop needing your phone at the counter.
You’ve been here before.

Paying should be the easy part.
How Paychan will work
Step 1
Enrol once, in person.
Visit a Paychan Enrolment Desk (a staffed Paychan counter). We scan your palm and link it to your UPI account in the Paychan app.
Step 2
Approve a Mandate.
In the Paychan app, approve a Mandate (a spending limit you approve once). The money stays in your own bank account until you pay.
Step 3
Wave your palm.
At any counter with a Paychan Terminal (the palm scanner at the counter), wave your palm to pay. No unlocking, no app to open, no QR to scan, no PIN to type.
Built on UPI. Payments go straight from your bank account.
Your palm, your control.
We’re designing Paychan so that:
Your palm data is never stored on the Terminal. The Terminal only sends an encrypted scan to our servers for matching.
Your palm data is encrypted.
You can delete your palm data anytime from the Paychan app.
You set the limit. Paychan can only charge within the Mandate you approve, and you can change or cancel it in the app.
We will never ask for your palm scan online.
Enrolment happens only in person, at a Paychan Enrolment Desk. If anyone asks you for a photo or scan of your palm, it isn’t us.
